Are there clones of the Soil Moisture sensor?
« on: October 19, 2021, 10:27:31 PM »
Hi folks

Just wondering if someone makes clones of the Davis Soil Moisture sensor or any cheaper alternatives?

Just looking for a cheaper alternative as its not for any purpose other than providing the data for the hell of it lol
I am currently using a home made version and I'm not overly confident its working as it should and only a comparable sensor would tell me this.
Kind regards
Bashy

Watermark makes the sensor and sells it with a 5 foot lead, instead of the big one Davis does.  I think someone on this site came up with a replacement, but I don't recall who.

A while back I was trying to find someone selling them cheaper and found on ebay someone had 10 of them and was selling them for $5 each so I bought them. But that was a while back and they are all used.

But I am confident someone here came up with a sensor that worked
