Hornet's Nest
« on: March 21, 2010, 06:07:09 PM »
If hornets build low,
Winter storms and snow;
If hornets build high,
Winter mild and dry.
Is there any truth to this Weather Saying? Just curious and I'm not sure if I have heard this one before.

Not the case here this year. Several high nests noted but one of the worst winters in years. Maybe they were building high to avoid the snow cover. Bee traffic is high today with the warmth.
