Newbie question
« on: January 14, 2008, 05:43:24 PM »
Hi! This is Alberto from Spain.
This is my first post.
I have a Davis Vantage Pro2 Wireless and a USB data logger. The soft is Weatherlink 5.7.1 running on Windows XP SP2.
I wanna get a monthly report like this one: http://infomet.am.ub.es/clima/monzon/mon0712.htm
I'd like to get that report from my monthly local *.wlk file. I mean... not uploading data to some web. Just downloading the console data to my pc and get that summary html file from my monthly *.wlk file. Is that possible?
Thx in advance.

Yes you can do this. In fact it's what I do.

Set up a template in an internet settings profile just like you would if you were going to upload it to a web site. In the internet settings click the Internet Connection Settings button and set up the local path to point to where you want the processed file to end up.

In the internet settings, leave the Internet Transfer Settings set to off and the Local Transfer Enabled set to on.  When the template is processed, it will be saved in the path you set up for the local file path.

Hi, thx for the answer.
My problem is that I really don't know how to set a table like that with the monthly average temp, hum, pressure and so on. The tag is <!--outsideTemp--> but how do I get the average outside temperature for the whole month or for each day?  #-o
If I'm setting a template in html and I want to write the average montly outside temperature, wich tag or how should I do that?
Same for displaying the average outside temperature for each day...
Thx for your patience.

Albert

For average temp, look for a tag called mean or average temp.

Thanks,
Anthony

Weatherlink has a very limited set of tags. Other than wind there are no average tags that I'm aware of. That's one of the reasons a lot of people use other software like WD or VWS.

The complete list of tags is a little difficult to find in WL itself. You can find them by going into help and searching on "weatherlink html tags". Near the bottom of the list you'll see Weatherlink HTML tags. Click on that for the list.
