Until Davis works out the bugs, particularly being able to send rainfall rate/wind gust/Rapid fire updates, I am holding off.  I am considering one of the low power stand alone computers proposed above by a couple of our members, but can only justify spending no more than 200 for it, as I would still have to get the serial weatherlink for 118.  Ambient is currently selling WeatherlinkIP for 222, but as I mentioned, there are issues that need to be resolved.  I'm chomping at the bit to go online too.  I wouldn't be surprised to see WeatherlinkIP sold for under 200 by the end of the year as well.  Hate to sound so cheap, but I'm saving for a new auto GPS.  Being a gadget guy gets expensive!

Note that WeatherlinkIP STILL does not support sending data to PWSweather.com (weatherforyou.com/HAMweather).  If you get rid of your data logger and other software you may be using you may lose the ability to have your weather data on PWSweather.com and weatherforyou.com.

Joe, whichever way I finally get my station online, you can be absolutely sure your site will be one I participate in.  You are the only rep from ANY PWS website out there that seems to take an interest in this issue.  Thank you. =D>

After some thought, decided to not go with WeatherLinkIP at the moment.  Instead got an older PC from a friend, and using that as a dedicated server for my weather station.  Now I don't worry so much about PC issues, as my main PC is offline since it doesn't have to load station information to the web.
