Title: GW2000 Ambient Weather Upload. **solved**
Post by: Adog33 on December 23, 2022, 08:33:58 PM
Is the GW2000 uploading to Ambient weather now supported with Weather bridge / Meteobridge?
Previously there was some limitations with the rain sensor.

Which station would I pick in the drop down? I do not see GW2000 only driver for GW1000

Please use the GW1000 driver. I think the GW2000 is the base station of the Wittboy?
However, if you have problems in receiving data, I should be able to adapt the driver if you grant me remote access.

Sounds good. The hardware is on order for the station.

Can anyone confirm If I should order the "Weather Bridge"  or build 3rd party DIY Meteobridge?

I'd like to use Weather Bridge as it already has the license, but Ambient support informed me their Weather Bridge does not support the GW1000 or GW2000 gateways.

Weatherbridge does support GW1000/GW2000, they use the original Meteobridge SW. If you are into local storage you might also look at Meteobridge PRO2 or builds on RPI. A needed License for Ambient Cloud will then of course add to your bill.

Meteobridge captures GW2000(Wittboy) and uploads to Ambient without issues, just had to manually map
a few sensors, and adjust pressure offset. Thank you!

Can you provide guidance on the template settings for FTP upload? Trying to upload to pwsDashboard.

why do you want to use FTP upload ?
You can use the Custom Server functionality of the GW2000 along with pwsWD Dashboard (Ecowitt LCL) - unless you use this already for different purpose.
That's described in the PWS Dashboard documentation.

Custom upload from your GWxxx is described here for PWS_Dashboard. (https://pwsdashboard.com/documentation2012/42_ecowitt.pdf)
