PurpleAir have been testing a new the BME680 sensor for the PA-II units. This new sensor adds a VOC Gas sensor to the equation.
Some chat on the facebook group is seen here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/purpleair/permalink/949906395466434/
I've managed to replace my BME280 with the new BME680 and is reporting Voc too.

Thank you, Chuck.

I installed the BME680 sensor into my PurpleAir. It's working great with the VOC measurement.

Without difficulty I installed the BME680 in my PurpleAir PA-II-SD sensor with firmware v6.01
It has been up & running.
My Rochester MN sensor is in southeast Minnesota and the new VOC experimental sensor can be seen on this map link:

I installed the sensor in mine too, but I don’t think they are helpful because they were intended for indoor Ali.Numbers outside are consistently high.
