What happened to the precipitation average and monthly total announcement?

Henry Leonard:
I remember the NOAA weather radio announcing the precipitation totals for the current month and how they compared to the monthly average during the climate summary part of the broadcast cycle. For some reason, they don't seem to do that anymore. Does anybody know why?
