Rejuvenated Original VP
« on: September 15, 2019, 09:40:42 AM »
Well almost a year ago my 14 year old VP finally gave up the ghost. With a VP2 and a WeatherFlow station I wasn't in a big hurry to look at repairing it. Finally took it apart and replaced the "SuperCap" and a new cheap solar cell from Amazon and I'm back in business. I think it cost me less than $15 to get it back working. Sometimes it's so much better to be lucky than good hee hee

Cheers

I have one that is 17 years old. I still use it.  Everything still works except the T/H sensor. Shows extremely high temp and humidity. Do have a VP2, and hope it lasts as long as the original.  \:D/
