New Ecowitt website has launched
« on: October 19, 2020, 04:43:11 AM »
I am pleased to announce that the new website has launched after testing.
We tried to work out the kinks but if you find any problems then do let Lucy or me know and I will share them back.
You'll be pleased to note that the site is HTTPS and hopefully will provide a improved customer experience all round (including a user forum )

https://www.ecowitt.com

If you have a Ecowiit.net login then this can be used for an account login on the new site

(Edit: There are still some to find: I have just found one!)

We tried to work out the kinks but if you find any problems then do let Lucy or me know and I will share them back.
The website talks about measuring PM2.5/PM10.0/CO2 in a blue box on the screen, and I got excited because that is what I want.  \:D/
However none of the air quality sensors displayed shows anything but the current Honeywell PM2.5. That was disappointing and annoying - Built up and then crashed down within a few seconds.

That's the error I noticed and Ecowitt should remove that.
In the test website it included the new sensor but that's not ready yet so was removed for production.
They were told this morning and acknowledged it so should update the pages as appropriate soon.

This is a much nicer website.

Since it is intended for international sales, it may be helpful for casual visitors to explain which wireless protocols are used in respective counties in an easy to find location.

Fully agree  - please add a guide to select frequency.

Then bird spikes page - the size selectors are in Chinese (I assume) - please make them English.

I was expecting to find the new sensors as well...
(Like WH34 - as was told I could 8 of these + 8 WH31 ...)
Well maybe I still have to be patient for a while.

It was actually listed with the other 3 PM2.5's for the first 30 minutes of coming back online, but when I clicked on it, it said "no information is available". It seems to be a closely guarded secret!

No, not a closely guarded secret. Just not ready for sale yet.
Same as the WH34.

When they are debugged and happy they will be on the site!

Love the new site!

One thing I noticed though is that your DNS A-Records need to edited. The website resolves correctly when you enter "www.ecowitt.com" however if you enter just "ecowitt.com" (Without the www), the site will not resolve and work.
