[tup] Weather Underground has redesigned the Weather Underground app. Many funtions are buggy or missing.
The WU Team plans to update the app every other week, so keep an eye out for more features very soon.

Found some good insights on Google Play:
1. WIDGET gone
2. RAIN-TOTAL gone
3. WIND-info gone
4. PRIOR-DAY info gone
5. LANDSCAPE-VIEW gone
6. HOURLY-graph buried
7. Daily graph w SIX-days/screen gone, only THREE days/screen, so CAN'T SEE 6-DAY FORECAST or TRENDS
8. Hourly temp & wind graph gone. Split into two graphs, so CAN'T SEE TEMP & WIND RELATIONS or TRENDS
9. X-axis rulings & NUMBERS gone, so GRAPHS UNREADABLE
10. USELESS rainbow circle thermometer takes up whole OPENING SCREEN that used to be filled with info

To be honest once they started with the subscription to get rid of the ads I was done.

They've already used up far more of my goodwill than they are worth. The sooner WU shuts down the better.

They're like a bad habit, just can't get rid of it. As long as brand X and brand Z keep advertising that they upload to WU before you even get it out of the box, the travesty that has become WU will continue. AFAIC, 99% of new PWS owners only care about their data being online, no idea where it's going and no idea what it should be. The carnage continues... :roll:

I finally see the update now for version 6.3.0 in Google Play for me. I hope they continue to release messages like this in this manner in the app when it is opened, so we are not in the dark with what is going on.

I realized something today with the WU android app. For a while now, the app has been showing another weather station other than my own when I am at my house. Before IBM did their overhaul attempt of the app, my weather station showed up for my current location if I am home as I should be seeing, but now I see some other weather station show up for my current location with no station name. Through the WU website, I figured out the station I have been seeing on the app for my current location when I am home, is the nearest airport to me. By the way, I do have my gps enabled for location on my phone. Has anyone else noticed this or has been experiencing this?

Don't really use the app but keep it on the phone as another source of data.
Your situation is exactly like mine. It's been that way for over a year.
The latest update still has not fixed the issue and I really doubt if it ever will be fixed.

That's a pretty good prediction. The same thing happens on the website if you try to save a favorite and I suspect the same laughably broken mechanism is used to geolocate where the phone is even if you enter the proper station ID.

Same for me, the iOS apps work fine and show my PWS, the android version is showing a different weather station that always reads too high in the sun.

Still broken in 6.6.3. I did report the bug to WU and they did replicate it. They were not sure when they would get to it......

Yea, the location bug still exists for this update 6.3.3. No change for the android app in that way. I also have noticed that the feels like temperature is never different than the actual temperature, which can't be. This bug is only for the android app, not the website. The website shows the correct feels like temperature.

It looks like the temperature issue of reporting the wrong station is resolved! Could just be that the nearby station is the same temp. I'll keep an eye on it but it looks like the feedback worked!
