Lightning detector for Davis stations
K2MIT:
I want lightning detection (especially distance from my location) for my Davis VP2. They don’t offer it. Architecturally it would require another transmitter but Weatherlink Live supports multiple transmitters.
I suggested it to Davis. “we will add it to the evaluation list.” If my non-professional Weatherflow Tempest has this feature, why not Davis? My Tempest is used just for my Rachio sprinkler (turning it off it has rained enough).
If you want lightning detection, please email support@davisinstruments.com
NorCal_Dan:
You can easily use your Tempest station to supply WD with lightning data...
K2MIT:
What is WD? Sorry, I am not familiar with that (it’s been a late night).
But you can’t view it within the Davis ecosystem on the iPhone app or Weatherlink.com.
Where is your screenshot from? It doesn’t look familiar. Can you tell me how to get there?
Thanks for you reply.
chief-david:
Weather display software.
K2MIT:
Thanks. I was not aware of this cross-platform integration software!
(I thought elementary school).
