The 12Z GFS began and is running on time.


FORECAST ZONE CHANGES TODAY...
Public, fire, and marine weather forecast zone changes scheduled
for today, March 5, 2024 will proceed as planned. All changes are
to be completed by 21Z today.  These are the offices involved
with the zone changes today:  PDX, JAX, MFL, AFG, AJK, HNL,
OPC/TAFB.


MDS STATUS UPDATE...
GOES-E MDS Sector 1 will be centered over 27N/81.7W from 21Z to
06/18Z to support WFO Miami severe weather ops.

If you are served by any of the WFO listed above, check your zones used for forecasts and alerts to make sure they are still correct.
Some zones are now split into two zones, so you need to check.
