Number One!
« on: April 12, 2024, 05:01:10 PM »
First time ever recording the most rain in Florida for Cocorahs.
My 2.57 beat out a guy down the road with 2.55. I have been close before but never number one.
Wohoo!
Only a weather geek could understand.

Time to buy a lottery ticket maybe? I just quickly scanned all the precipitation amounts for Florida in CoCoRaHS for April 12, and if you are FL-MR-18 you are correct! Sorry, as a retired auditor and CPA, I trust no one without verifying! Congratulations!

Yes I am FL-MR-18. It didn't actually show up on the map because I submitted it at 2AM on my way to work. They have some type of rule where if you submit it too early it won't show on the map. So I edited the time to 7AM.

Then we have apples and oranges? You measured at 2 am and most other folks measured at 7 am? If so, you can’t be sure you had the record for the day—observation time yes, however.  Maybe your station measurement needs an asterisk?

I can because the rain had cleared my area at about 3 pm on the 12th.
