Decided to copy my old site for now.  It is a work in progress.

I did figure out:

1. how to FTP with WD.
2. How to get data from my Rainwise ip-100 to WD.

Going to add Fresh WDL tonight.

Have a rainwise cc-3000 on its way.

I have decided to wait on any major website changes and coding issues until Christmas. It's too difficult to do that and try to teach the same time.

I have the students submitting new website icons and logos.

And I would like to thank 92merc for the donation of a rain Gauge heater. I will get that installed in the next couple of weeks

I received my RW  cc-3000.

I purchased the RS-232 model-weary of the USB like davis.

I cannot get my computer or WD or pick up the data from the cc-3000.
I know all of the boxes are checked and the light is blinking saying it is getting data.

Anything I can do to the com port to fix this?
RW has a comport tester. https://rainwise.com/cc-3000-data-logger

Nothing is in the file that it makes. Has to be a com issue on the computer end. Looks like all drivers are up to date AFAIK.

did more work on my template website.

I finally read the directions on the WD plugins and added my testtag file.

Still more work to do

but    http://www.bsmweather.org/index2.php

Question. What is the intended difference between index.php and wxindex.php

So I was thinking--IP 100 from the computer or the ethernet from a small switch.

I think I need to remove both. Restart the computer with the cc-3000 to reset the com ports.
Does that sound like the issue?

No school Friday. Rain gauge heater should go in!!!!

Question. What is the intended difference between index.php and wxindex.php
From what I recall and according to the template install instructions it is a temporary index file while you are working to set up the template and not to interfere with your live index file.

Quote
When you've decided that the new site is to be made 'live', then use these steps to have it become the primary display.

Rename (on your local disk) wxindex.php to index.php

Enjoy,
Paul

Since they cancelled school Friday, I had the day off...So.  I went to school.

Added a rain gauge heater
I installed a waterproof box, a plug that turns on and off with temperature. And ran a cord to plug it into an AC or heater unit on the roof.

I do not have full time access to the roof. Which does not allow me full time access to the switch to turn on the heater. So the yellow thermo cube in the black Box will turn off in Sunny weather.

Also working with Rainwise to get a cc-3000 to work. the RS-232 version did not. May go to USB

I  wont worry about the rest of the website until Christmas break.

Your scripts are being told to load from the wrong place.

Looks like you've put (as a var) 'customclientraw.txt' in the wrong place.

« Reply #69 on: December 27, 2020, 11:09:27 AM »
My main page current conditions shows Partly cloudy and it is snowing.

How can I change this to  reflect what is happening at Crystal, MN airport.
Is it Weather Display configuration
       my coding
       both?

same with the icon on the banners.

https://bsmweather.org/

BTW-my old school station site has been unoperational for about a month. What a shame.

In WD, go into control panel,
FTP and Connections METAR/NOAA
METAR Download Tab.
turn it on and find your airport in the list.  Set the download times.

I saw this in WD's FAQ section too:

Why isn't the current weather icon updating by its self according to the METAR station?
Make sure that under the list of METAR stations that "use this METAR for local sky conditions (and weather underground)" is checked. Also make sure that the box next to that has the name of the METAR station that you want to be displayed. Example KEWR.TXT
