Weather Underground Charts 1 hour late
« on: October 12, 2023, 08:10:02 PM »
Hi all. Not sure if this is the best section for this question but my system does use a wifi logger. The issue is Weather Underground Charts show the data as one hour later than it should. I can't find a place to set a time zone for daylight time in my PWS settings. Other servers show the correct time.
Station is Vantage pro 2.
I checked my console time settings. Time is correct. Time zone is set to GMT-6. Daylight Saving set to manual and OFF.

Here is the Weather Underground link
https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/IVALLE160

Here is link for the data on PWSweather. It will show the last point as an hour earlier than WU which is the correct time.
https://www.pwsweather.com/station/pws/ELANCLOTE1

Here is the link to Weather Cloud which also reports the correct time
https://app.weathercloud.net/d8390134596#evolution

Here is a link to current condition on Weatherlink which also reports the correct time.

Only WU has the wrong time. I started to set up a new station and when I click on the map, WU auto-selects the time zone.
Here is what they show:
Lat, Lon:20.771988, -105.519928
Time Zone: America/Bahia_Banderas

They don't actually show the GMT offset and there is no way to manually set it that I can see. Any ideas?

Is your time zone set correct in WiFi-Logger settings, and also Daylight Savings?

Enjoy,
Paul

I just checked. Info in Logger is correct. I don't think Logger has separate time setting from the console. I beliieve if just reads or sets the console settings. Also not that the other three servers have the correct time.

A new fact is that I looked at another station in Puerto Vallarta which not that far away and that time is also off by an hour. I think WU has the wrong time zone info for this area. There have been some changes. Here in Nayarit, we used to be an hour different from Jalisco where Vallarta is. Also, Mexico has done away with DST. I think WU has probably not updated their settings and like I said before, they don't let you choose an actual GMT offset.
