Title: Rainfall rate shows large value lonng after rain has stopped

All,
  I have and OSI rain gauge and using the latest VWS. I noticed after it stopped raining the other day, my rainfall rate continued to have a .27 in/hr reading on it HOURS after it stopped raining. This is a problem because I use the rainfall rate to determine if rain if falling at my site versus the closest METAR site near me (4 miles away). I do this because it may be raining at my site but the METAR is old and isn't current or it may NOT be raining there now so I wrote a PHP script to look at rainfall rate.
   Now my web page is showing it still raining HOURS after it has stopped.... Suggestions?    ](*,) ](*,)
