AcuRite Access model 09155M
« on: June 20, 2021, 12:37:23 AM »
Hi there,

I am using Acurite 5 in 1 weather station with Lightning detector.
Recently I purchased "AcuRite Access model 09155M" so that I can make my weather station online via MyAcurite / WU.

But when i try to add "AcuRite Access" to MyAcurite App/website, it is returning the following error -

"Device must be connected and reporting data to claim it. Please make sure the device is connected to your router and the status lights are blinking. "

Tried all the methods described here
https://support.acurite.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021589233--Device-must-be-connected-and-reporting-data-to-claim-it-Error

Can any of you help me getting this device added to MyAcurite please.
thank you

Not sure if India is a supported country. You could get it to work if you try setting it up for use in one of the supported countries, but then your times would be off.

In case any future readers see this my fix was simply getting an Access compatible sensor so the access could pick it up and send data. the access needs to send sensor data to be picked up/registered for myAcurite page.

I am not sure whether this information is of any help to you. I gave up on the AcuRite ecosystem when they killed the SmartHub. I have a 5in1 sensor with a display, instead of migrating to Access provided by AcuRite, I chose the WeeWX on Raspberry Pi route to send information to WU. For this you need a Raspberry Pi and have the WeeWX installation running on the RPi, just plug in the USB cable from the display to the RPi and the WeeWX will capture data from your 5in1 sensor and send it to WU.
