Wifi Logger 2 SD
« on: January 16, 2021, 10:33:59 AM »
Hi, I just received my WiFi Logger 2 SD and new Vantage Pro2+. I previously had an Oregon Scientific station for about 7 years logging via usb to a Pi.
I have the WiFi Logger set up ok.
Mine has an SD Card slot - so I popped a spare 16GB card in there. However I wondered if this is used at all yet with the firmware - there is no mention of it in the manual or web config.

I just bought a Logger v2 for a second station I plan on installing at our cabin. I wonder if this could ever be programmed to store backup data?

You might be better off also setting up a device like a raspberry pi with a USB drive attached, and it can provide a ftp server for the WiFilogger to export to (or you can subscribe to the MQTT option). Then the data is readily accessible. Actually I use weewx .
