Atlas temp/humidity sensor tear-down
« on: March 14, 2021, 04:48:06 PM »
To start you should review the excellent thread by nincehelser https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=35220.0
I started this troubleshooting session when my sensor started to eat batteries. As I poked around I discovered the easy to remove temp/hunidity sensor. When I removed it it became clear why things were not working right. One circuit of four was totally bad.
I used a PH00 screw driver to remove the housing top

I know the red wire is broken. It broke man handling the sensor out.

That's a tell tale sign the temp/hum is going south, my 5n1 did that, after replacing the thermo board all is well and going on 3 years with this last set of batts.
