Mike, this is difficult to answer without more context.

Does this refer to the proposed "Blue" system?

Without knowing what will be in the "Blue" system, it is impossible to render an informed opinion on what additional stuff would be desirable.

I was under the impression that an e-field antenna/amp/input (as provided on the Red system) provides short range detection. The benefits of higher-frequency detection are likely unknown to most of us.
