Meteobridge offset not showing in WLL.
« on: March 10, 2021, 09:23:46 PM »
I recently had to replace my Vantage Pro 2 outside temperature/humidity sensor. The humidity sensor failed. Per the instructions for the new sensor (used in my older Sensor Suite) I included a -.9 degree offset for the main outside temperature (th0temp) in Meteobridge settings. I’m uploading to PWS, Ambient, WU and Weatherlink Live (Nooo it's Weatherlink Cloud  #-o). The -.9 temperature offset is displaying correct for all of the above networks except Weatherlink Live. It is not getting the offset.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

The WLL is the source of data it sends to other receivers of data. Unless you have a mb pro that you have configured to directly receive the ISS transmissions?

But you should set the offset in the ISS advanced settings for your WLL either on WeatherLink.com or in the WL phone app.

Sorry mcrossley I need to get my wording right. It's not WLL that I'm using. I'm uploading to WL Cloud through my Meteobridge. The offset is in Meteobridge. The -.9 temperature offset is displaying correct for three networks I'm uploading to but not www.weatherlink.com/bulletin...

I agree. I'm still relatively new to weather stations and I purchased the Davis WeatherLink Live 6100. It took a while reading the forums to understand that I was confusing comments about older Davis WeatherLink software with my physical Davis WeatherLink Live 6100 device.

You need to do the following two steps.

1- Undo the temperature correction in the Meteobridge.

2- Go to your display console and in there set the temperature offset. You can find the instructions to do this on page 26 of the Davis user manual.

From the Davis VP2 console user manual:
Quote
Calibrating, Setting, and Clearing Variables
To fine-tune your station, you can calibrate most of the weather variables. For
example, if your outside temperature seems consistently too high or too low, you
can enter an offset to correct the deviation.

Calibrating Temperature And Humidity
You can calibrate inside & outside temperature, inside & outside humidity, as well
as any extra temperature/humidity sensor readings you have transmitting to your
Vantage Pro2.

1. Select a variable to be calibrated. See “Selecting Weather Variables” on
page 20.

2. Press and release 2ND, then press and hold SET.
After a moment, the variable you’ve selected begins to
blink. Keep holding SET until the Calibration Offset
message displays in the ticker.
The ticker displays the current calibration offset.

3. Press the+ and - keys to add or subtract from the temperature offset value.
Inside and outside temperature are calibrated in 0.1° F or 0.1° C increments,
up to a maximum offset of +12.7 (°F or °C) and a minimum offset of -12.8 (°F
or °C). The variable will change value and the ticker will show the offset
you’ve entered.

4. Press DONE to exit calibration.

I have two consoles around the house that I already applied the offset to.

The logger supplying data to my Meteobridge is in a wireless Weather Envoy not a console. Is there a way to get into the Envoy to make changes? Would the Envoy have to be connected to a computer to do this, if it’s possible?

You'll need to install Weatherlink for Windows to then configure the Envoy. You can temporarily disconnect the Meteobridge from the Envoy to accomplish this.

Thank you galfert. I already have Weatherlink on my computer just haven't used it since installing the Meteobridge.

It's all coming back to me now. [tup] Had that computer on 24/7 for Weatherlink for many years.
