Have you tried to stream with another software and see if you could see the stream?

This is a beauty - think we need to scratch heads here
We can all see it working fine - just you cant.
If we see it the d-link is set right.

Have you tried to see the stream on the other 2 computers?

Just a question did you type in your browser http://192.168.0.1  if your router pops up with a password just put in Admin and look at your setting I"m thinking your looking for something like Multicast streams but I could be all wet but something need to be changed in the router.

When you change that to something else in the drop list its just a list
of standard ports, i.e. if its ftp then it will change to port 21, if its http then
it will change the port to 80 and so on, i had to manually change the port to 82

Simon,

Try dropping the .invalid in your host file.  Also make sure that your changes to the host file are saving and the file does NOT have an extension.  You may have to log on as administrator to ensure the changes are saved.

FWIW, I have a D-Link DR-615 and experienced the same problem.  My prior router was a Netgear and it did have loop back support so I didn't need to have an entry in the host file to see my  stream on the LAN.

Poked back into this thread... saw that you were using mms://, I can tell you that I've never been able to see anyone's streaming if they use that format... just an idea... as others have suggested, maybe use a software solution that doesn't involve mms...

but people can see it
is just Bashy that cant, which is a router problem (see the post above, neondesert has come across the same problem with the same router)
because he could see it before he updated his router

Glad to see it's fixed Simon!  \:D/

Do you know what the script does?  I know you said "don't ask" but I will anyway.  :-)

How Curly explain it is, its grabs the IP and if the ip is the home IP then its changes the web address to the home address...

I've been watching this thread for an answer because I have a similar issue with the web cams here.
Since it's not a fix for the topic, I hesitated on posting a work-around.

The script checks to see if the IP address is mine. If it is, the variable is the cameras address on the home network. If the address isn't my mine, then the variable is the web address for the camera.

Code: [Select]
<?php
$ipa
$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'];
if(
$ipa == '192.168.0.2') { $camIP 'http://192.168.0.12:8080'; }  // home url
else{ $camIP 'http://71.115.86.198:8080';} // visitors url
?>

I then replace the url for the camera video in the page with <?php echo $camIP ?>
