Woohoo, bringing back a thread that has been dead for months. Bet you all forgot about this one. Anyway, I'm here with great news: apparently you can continue to get updates for XP for free by making one change to the registry: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/05/26/german_tinkerer_gets_around_xpocalypse/Sounds simple, and they say there don't seem to be any negative effects.

This little change makes Microsoft think you are running POS 2009 (an embedded version of XP), which is supported until 2019.
Any comments (pro/con) about MYCLEANPC™ coming to the XP rescue?....
That is what I thought, however, I was also curious if ( possibly ) CLEANMYPC had actually come up with something to "...carry-on..." where MS had "...left off..."
