I got it all hooked up and the lights on the box are flashing green - I assume that this means all is working fine. However the lights by the RJ45 port and the light on the corresponding port on the router are not flashing. I have tried 2 different cables and 2 different ports. I shot them a email to see what they think.
Hi,

Mine is blinking at the router port.  Check out this link if you have not already http://www.flightradar24.com/38.75,-89.08/6 and zoom in to your location and see if your ID is showing on an AC that is yellow.  If not then, you may have an issue.  The center red light should be blinking as it is receiving data from an AC.. The left green light should be steady green for the power and the other blinking green light to the right should be blinking green with an occasional red showing that your GPS is working.

You can also try accessing the unit by looking up the IP address from your router.  If you cannot find the IP then the unit is not talking to the router.  Mine is like this http://192.168.1.73/

Hope that yours is working okay with those checks.

Have a good and safe Holiday Season to you and your family.

Aloha and Best Regards,

The GREEN led on the right should be blinking at a 1-second rate with an occasional RED flash. This led is the GPS letting you know the status of the GPS signal.

It turns out the unit is working fine. A few weeks ago, I bought a new Belkin router and for what ever reason the default IPs are 192.168.2.XXX instead of 192.168.1.XXX and this was wreaking havoc with devices trying connect. I changed the "2" to a "1" and all is well. Tracked 2,171 aircraft today.  :-)

BTW, what is your FR24 ID..  Just wanted to check out that area that seems to have a lot of AC traffic.

The ID is F-KGLW1 - with 3,296 aircraft seen today. Typically when I look out on a clear day/night it is not uncommon to see a handful of planes across the sky (being one of the "fly over" states). Looking at the tracking, the flight paths from the northeast cities to Dallas fly overhead.
