seem to have gotten slower over the years. Now I see that Road Runner is going to start charging rent on my 15 year old modem they just nickle and dime use to death

LOL  Anything other than text takes forever to load.  a 1MB picture takes 10 minutes.

Here's the results from dialup.

And what's fun to remember, is that your dial-up speed is fast compared to the old 300 baud modems. That's what? 14,400 or 9600 baud?

This represents Suddenlink's rather recent speed upgrade from 10mbps to 15mbps.   The cost is $38 a month.  I think it's their intermediate speed offering.
