Custom Website Templates / Problem getting Wdisplay html 5&7 going after reinstall
« Last post by rrrick8 on April 20, 2024, 01:57:15 PM »
Had a major crash last week on my weather computer and User Account files got corrupted and couldn't get in and wound up just getting new cpu since old one was pushing 10 years.
Reinstalled Wdisplay and have almost everything back up to speed except creating wx5.html and wx7.html in the Internet File & Creation folder. Go thru the process on both pages but it just won't create the files in my Wdisplay folder and of course won't upload them then to my server. Been a good 15+ years since I set all this up and can't find any notes I might have made of the process back then. The pic shows it's working but it's not.
Thanks for any help.

Davis Instruments Weather Stations / Re: Joining Davis Tech Support

Heaven forbid somebody technical who works for the vendor this forum is associated with actually volunteers to help provide support as a volunteer here.  That can't be permitted. There must be nefarious things happening or planned.

(sheesh - exactly what is WRONG with you people ???)

There is something wrong on the Ecowitt site. Up to 31st March it shows graph times from 00:00 to 23:59 (should be 00:01 but lets ignore that) and from 1st April it shows 01:00 to 23:59. Makes no sense, UK DST started 01:00 on 31st March.

Probably not a big deal, but as an employee, that's a straight conflict of interest. No offense, but I'm a "no" vote.

Maybe Davis Instruments has a hidden agenda in taking over the forums and calling it their own lol

@SamiS
Yes, but when I make time-related changes there, it's even worse.

I don’t quite understand what do you mean by that. On ecowitt.net the only time related settings are location/timezone, and whether daylight saving is enabled. So basically there is nothing to change.

When editing my gw1100 station settings, I have Helsinki selected and DST enabled, and my rain graphs reset correctly at 0:00. I do not upload to wunderground, so I can’t check how it behaves.

The bin file can be fetched directly for offline updates at:

https://osswww.ecowitt.net/ota/20240312/d0230943cdf23c9469244c49e32bc0e1.bin

How can I upload my GW2000 offline with this file?

Interestingly, some stations around me have the same problem (look at the daily rainfall).

Somewhere Ecowitt is not consistent in presenting the data.

@Dador have you checked what it says on ecowitt.net portal? I’m wondering that could this be a bug on WSView itself. Of course there is also the possibility of the bug being in GW1000 firmware, since Oliver’s pictures are from GW2000.

Interesting.

I took screenshots from my phone with the settings. Despite the setting at 00:00, rainfall reset occurs at 01:00. Temperature and humidity reset at 00:00, which is correct. It's just weird when it rains.

Today's rainfall, calculated correctly according to CumulusMX, is 4.7 mm so far. And according to Ecowitt, it is 3.8 mm, because it is counted from 01:00.
