Can you clarify the shields you're comparing in this latest test?

The Pro3 against the new version of FARS Barani.

Hmm, I see. Definitely going to keep an eye on this one.

This requires a detailed analysis, which I'll do later.

There will be no data for 27/11/2024, so I've had to ask a neighbour to reboot the router. (No data for 4 hours)

You can see a characteristic feature of Portugal: warm nights with little variation between day and night.

What are the differences between this version of ProFARS and its predecessor?

What are the differences between this version of ProFARS and its predecessor?

Smaller suction tube, GMV monitoring outlet, solar panels.
I'm expecting eventful nights with rapid rises and falls in temperature (oceanic W wind/Spanish E wind).
In these situations, the FARS was difficult, as was the Comet.

I expect this screen's performance to still be lower than the Apogee TS100. If it still draws air from the heated plates to the surface of the measuring chamber.

It would be interesting to join them. I could do so, as soon as the new FARS becomes available.

A TS-100 CAN be better if it's operated according to the rules!
I'll have to wait and see, and I'm not going to be convinced by what I see in your data.
So start by making graphs with ALL the parameters and cross-tabulated graphs.
And look after your electrical assembly.

I'm waiting for a new-generation FARS for Belgium, which has a completely different climate.
I think the gains will be less visible (the temperature/sunshine are not the same) but I like this hybrid concept.

@tobyportugal You are clinging to the electrical assembly, which was prepared for me by an Apogee technician in Poland. It sounds funny. He pointed out to me what to buy and install by a man trained by, among others, Apogee and other reputable meteo companies.

You don't have to be convinced by what, you see in my or other data. However, you can clearly see when the Barani covers are not showing off and overheating. Even when it blows 2-3 m/s there is sometimes a problem with the accuracy of the data on the Meteoshield Pro III passive version.

For some reason, Barani is bringing the FARS version to market, because there are problems with the passive one and it doesn't work in many weather scenarios. Helis is not perfect, as you can see.

The charts will be improved with more data in the near future.

I need to revise the colours of the graphics to make them easier to read, which isn't easy with a tablet remote on a computer.
So a little patience.

Hello Marco, yes, that's correct. I didn't delete any columns from my spreadsheet and have to put them back in January.
The Pro3 and FARS are currently using SHT35s without filters. The SHT45s I had left are for Belgium.
I'm waiting for SHT45-AD1F (PTFE membrane from Sensirion) which will allow me to put them in very thin (PTFE) supports (5/6mm),
so the air entering the part under the chips will no longer have the current obstacle that we all have. Have a good weekend.
