I posted this over on the WD Forum but didn't get any relevant replies so thought I'd try here:
On my email host I have set up 3 email addresses:
wx3@, wx6@ and wx12@
Each of those forwards to a different group of people who have
selected to receive wx reports at either 3 hourly, 6 hourly or 12
hourly intervals.
Turning now to the email setup in WD, I entered each of the above
email addresses into #1 Setup, highlighted each one in turn and set
corresponding sendout times for each.
Example: wx3@ was supposedly set to email out at 00, 03, 06, 09, 12,
15, 18 and 21 hours
wx6@ was supposedly set to email out at 00, 06, 12 and 18 hours
and so on.
What happened was
a) Everyone on all three forwarding email addresses received
emails at 3 hourly intervals regardless of whether they were listed
under wx3, wx6 or wx12
b) Everyone received an email with the recipient email address being
whatever address was at the top of the list in WD. Example: if the
email address wx12@ was at the top of the list in WD, then Everyone
would receive an email addressed to wx12@ regardless of which
forwarding list they belonged to.
c) Everyone received the emails with tomorrow's "Created" date,
although the date and time in both the Subject line and the actual
text of the email was correct.
I've updated WD to the very latest Build 12 (as of yesterday) and
using the full install package.
So what am I doing wrong?
Also I see a button titled "Each Off/On next to the box where the
times of emailing are set. Underneath the button it says "Not normally
used". Can I ask what that button's function is?
