Title: Tower sensor thermo/hygro hack
Post by: DoctorKnow on July 08, 2015, 02:09:50 PM
I kept finding my tower sensor was reading a little high on temp and low on humidity, so I thought I would share this simple hack that has worked really well for me. I took the back cover off the sensor and punched an air hole on the back of the cover with a nail. I did this right over where the white humidity chip is found on the board. Put the cover back on and put inside a well constructed radiation shield and my data has been as close to perfect as I believe I could ask for. I have checked the temp with a mercury thermometer and it is right on the mark.

If you look at the sensor as is, you will notice no air holes to the inside except on the bottom, and they are way too little for good flow IMO
