what are the little starts under my name and everyone elses? some have like five while others have one..?

I believe they refer to  your classification newbie, member, contributor, senior contributor, senior member and forecaster , and these are based on the number of postings you have made.

Shhhh... you've discovered the secret classification for members, and it is based on number of posts:

1 star - Newbie - 0 posts
1 star - Member - 1 post
2 stars - Sr. Member - 50 posts
3 stars - Contributor - 100 posts
4 stars - Sr. Contributor - 150 posts
5 stars - Forecaster - 300 posts

Admins and Moderators get 5 stars (but with different colors)

Me it not enough time on my hands, Work fulltime and now school part time  :lol: oh well I got to get back to work!!

was reading posts and came across this and just had to say "ditto" on the last quote!  Laid off at the end of the year by friend/employer that I had been working for for 10 years and had known for 30+! :evil:
thanks goodness I received the weather station for Christmas it has given me a great hobby.   :grin:
