For me, January has been a pretty mild month. Only 11 days of 32F (19 days is average) or below w/ the lowest being 21.4 & an AVG of 45.7 - 1.9 above my JAN AVG. 3 days of rain for 0.32 - 0.04 below JAN AVG. A very nice month with a nice temp upswing to close it out.

Could have been much colder had the thaw not hit this last week of the month. Yesterday reached 64° here in Valentine. Still ended as the coldest January I've personally experienced since moving back in 2014.

Randy, is that chart from NWS or your weather processing software?

Randy, is that chart from NWS or your weather processing software?

From software, I'm running.  I haven't found any monthly climate summaries from the local forecast office, LBF. North Platte

Some offices do put them out like Springfield, Missouri

That's a great NWS summary (sgf). Like you, my local doesn't provide one, unfortunately.

It snowed.  Maybe 2-3 on the ground.

But 50 next week.

It hit 88 degrees at OKC airport today, 2/26, easily breaking the old record high of 82. Four degrees off of the all-time February record and tied for our 5th warmest February day.  Tuesday may be another record-breaking day, if clouds don't get too thick.  But it will be whiplash Wednesday when the high will only be in the upper 40s.  Due to the drying effects of WSW wind making for a humidity of 15 to 30%, chances of rain or severe storms then expected to be very low.  Later on, states to the east may have severe weather, though.

My station's Monday high was 89, which is the warmest Feb. 26 since 2012.

Dallas got up to a record high of 93 on Monday.

Yesterday (Feb 26) my station recorded a low of 31 and a high of 81 for a 50 degree warm up.  This morning a low of 33 so a 48 degree cool down.

Probably not completely unprecedented but quite unusual.

of 60-75 degrees in less than 12 hours

- Chance (40-60%) for quick hitting accumulating snow late tonight with threat of hazardous travel

Yesterday (and today) turned out to be quite interesting. Yesterday's high reached 73° (new official record 74°). Late this morning we got down to 19° (windchill of 8°). Lots of wind, hail, lightening, several tornados and snow flurries this morning. Property damage and power outages but, fortunately, no fatalities.

Monday 26 Feb high was 82° at 3:05 pm; Tuesday 27 Feb 35° at 3:05 pm. Noted a range of 62° between 26 Feb (82 degrees at 3:05 pm) and 15 degrees at 11:59 pm 27 Feb.

This morning's low was 6°.

Quite a roller coaster!

Yesterday morning (28 Feb) I had a low of 10.

March is coming in like a lamb except the wind is still running along up to 25 MPH from the southwest, though nominally in the mid teens.  Temp is 39 making the wind chill around 30 at the moment.

Little breezy. Measurements by RM Young.

I used to snow ski up at Alta, Utah every winter once or twice when I lived in Page, so watch the weather there still. I liked Alta because they didn't allow snowboards.  It was getting into the 90 mph range but WOW, 190 mph. That's nuts.

A very pleasant February in southern New Mexico. Seeing all the weather everywhere around me, I am grateful.
