Could get some serious rain in Southern CT out of this one. Will definitely be monitoring both stations today into tomorrow.

Westward track shift pulls eastern MA and all of RI out of the flood threat.

Tropical storm warnings now include all of coastal CT.

The rain will be welcome as a good chunk of the area is in Abnormally Dry or Moderate Drought status. But it'd be nice to get a long, slow rain instead.

According to WU hourly predictions the rain event for Western Mass. will occur over a 24 hour period when factoring in accompanying thunderstorms so I'm hoping it will go a long way to alleviating the very dry conditions occurring here. There's also the prediction of a lot more thunderstorm activity coming up next week.

The westerly track really changed things. We got a total of .5" of rain at our CT location and 1" of rain in VT.
