Author Topic: WU PWS, updates are delayed (Read 2872 times)

My PWS seems to be consistently 30+ minutes delayed as off the last couple of hours. I have watched the updates, and the time since last update can jump around by many minutes. Some stations close by also seem to have the same problem, while others do not. Have seen the time since last update jump around by 20 minutes in a matter of a few seconds, strange. Have also checked on a laptop and an IPad, both showing the same update times and temp.

Data seems to be correct and timely to Ambient weather website, as well as the live data from the ObserverIP. Have rebooted the ObserverIP from its web interface. Have also done a power reset on the ObserverIP. The device is also online when I check devices on WU.

Any thoughts on the problem, or how to resolve the issue.

It's not just your station . It seems WU has another glitch happening right now with there servers . My station and all the stations around me are showing 4 to 30 minutes late updates . Hopefully everything will catch up later .

Make sure the time on your console is correct..... I ran in to the same issue when my time was off. Obviously, depends on the wx station/console you have.

Same problems here in Tucson over a fiber connection. As of 2:43 MST still acting wonky.

Just checked at 16:20 CST, and we are now updating within a minute, at one point we were almost an hour in updating. Will keep an eye on it.

I posted earlier in an older thread the same problem. Mine is still 25-30 minutes behind. It was closer to 40. So I guess that’s good news. I checked the table and it’s updating every 5 minutes, +/-, just running behind. That is, while it’s updating every 5 minutes, the last update was 25 minutes ago. No issues with ambientweather.net. (I’ve not connected to other services yet.)

So I guess we give it more time. Wait and see.

As of 3:34am MST still messed up. The minutes since last update are bouncing between 5 minutes, 48 minutes, and 56 minutes.

yes, seeing the same thing here.
Within one minute my station has jumped from "Updated 7 minutes ago" to "updated 9 minutes ago" to "updated 57 minutes ago"

Let it sit a few minutes. Mine caught up last night and then did the same as you describe this morning. I let it sit for a few and it caught backup again.

But it's just the time-stamp right? I watched it for a few minutes and Rapid Fire seemed intact and graph is up to the minute.

But my camera is MIA so there's no Gold Star being handed out by me.

Can confirm my station is going offline and time stamps are over 30 minutes to 50 minutes. Some stations are showing offline and the mobile app seems dead to me.

My WS is updating to Ambient's site, no problem. Most certainly a problem with Weather Underground.

Same issue here this morning. I just checked and I was 20 hours behind, refreshed my screen, 39 mins, refreshed again, 44 mins.

Like others have said, and what I have seen over the last few days, I will not concern myself with it being my problem.

It has shown everything from offline, to updated 8 seconds ago, to updated 53 minutes ago, all in 20 seconds of watching the screen.

Yeah it's still acting wonky, I'm seeing it go between offline and updated 30 seconds ago, then it shows a reading from 5 hours ago, then back to current. All sorts of weird.

Can't believe they don't know somethings wrong...

The Gold Medal system seems to be inverted.

A week or two ago when I was down for maintenance, once it actually showed Off-Line I acquired the star. Went away again with upload restored.
