PCI card is a good idea, I like that my boltek was pci, rather than USB or something, but it does limit the available pc;s. A lot of store bot pc's dont even have a spare PCI slot, and if you break the seal the warranty is gone. It also wipes out those using laptops...
I would like to see an affordable mini thermo hygro remote for the Davis. The extra sensors are ridiculously priced, and massive. They dont really make sense for monitoring things like parts of your house, or your shed, or your barn. I know true weather folks dont care about indoor temps, but I like that I can see the main floor temp, upstairs, and basement all on my website, and all for 60 bucks.
Wireless anemometer as part of a standard package would be a good addition as well.
I am in the I can probably afford a Davis station, but to have it configured the way I want it would probably double the price. Add an Envoy, wireless anemoter, serial data logger, 2 remotes, and a soil temp station(for pool). What is that up to $1600? 1800? more? That is a hard sell to the wife... even to me at this point.
