Expired certificate on MRMS NWS Radar site
« on: December 02, 2023, 08:47:41 AM »
I sent an email to NWS regarding this.

Today I am receiving a "Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue" error on your mrms radar pages.

mrms.nssl.noaa.gov has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely.

It appears to be an expired certificate:

Websites prove their identity via certificates, which are valid for a set time period. The certificate for mrms.nssl.noaa.gov expired on 12/1/2023.

Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE

Apparently, they fixed it since I posted this. Maybe my email did some good...
Or, more likely they got other complaints.
