Can not set correct time
« on: November 13, 2021, 10:08:03 PM »
I have noticed that when setting time on my station panel to the correct region, for me it is America /Anchorage, the time is advanced by 1 or 2 hours both for data and local time from actual time. It would be so much easier to set it by GMT offset. Does anyone else have this issue?

I'm not clear about the time shown on AWEKAS either.
The correct timezone for my station is America/Boise (or Denver) which I have selected on the right side, bottom banner. (Is this where we are supposed to set it?)

STATION PANEL shows: "Data at: 21.11.2021 4:32 ( = local time: 4:32)"
link  https://www.awekas.at/en/instrument.php?id=17852

INFORMATION PANEL shows: "Last updated    21.11.2021 12:32" (This matches my watch and computer)

If I follow your links:
STATION PANEL shows: Data at: 24.11.2021 12:09 ( = local time: 4:09)
INFORMATION PANEL shows: Last updated 24.11.2021 12:09

I think the first ( time ) is reader's local time, the second is station's local time
My time zone is GMT+1 your time zone should be GMT-7

wild guess? Looks to me that "local time" is local to Germany; i.e; UTC +1

On the station page I see "data at" as UTC-1 which is neither my time, nor Germanys (I'm now on UTC locally), and the "local time" is 8 hours behind me, so local time for the station.

On the information page I see the date/time in UTC.

Odd, I expected the station page to also show the "data at" in UTC.

EDIT: On my corresponding pages I see all the date/times in UTC.
EDIT2: NO I DON'T. My station page shows both date/times as UTC-1. That isn't right at all.

The AWEKAS station page shows (copy & paste) :

Data at: 24.11.2021 12:30 ( = local time: 12:30)

This not correct as my station time here is: 6:30 pm EST
However, 6:30pm EST = 12:30 am CET in Germany.

My local station time is 6:30pm = 18:30 = 23:30 UTC

Germany is UTC+1 so that is 23:30 +1 = 00:30 UTC = 12:30 am German local time.

So my guess is "local time" is AWEKAS local time.

Correct timezone is set to America/Toronto which is EST (Eastern Standard Time)
Looks like some of us are somehow different...

Same kind of issues:

Paste from Station page; Data at: 28.11.2021 22:05 ( = local time: 22:05)

My local time is UTC +13, so above should be 10:05

(UTC here was 27.11.2021 21:05 at paste time); This is selected at bottom right of Display Settings panel

My WOW page shows time correctly:

Observation Time

10:20 | 28 Nov 2021 (GMT +13:00)
21:20 | 27 Nov 2021 (GMT)

I have not been able to get an answer from AWEKAS on this. If you open your weather station in Weather Maps and view Weather data the time is correct. At the moment the time in the Station panel reads 3:05 am and actual time is 1:05 PM.

I am glad I am not the only one puzzling over this!

As far as I can see everything leaves my station with the correct time

The station panel has a display setting timezone bottom right

For me (Europe/London) that is incorrect Data at: 29.12.2021 xx:xx  it is GMT-1

followed by incorrect local time in brackets (= local time: xx:xx) also GMT-1

If you set any other display setting time zone it changes but the local time does not, which is presumably the correct action, but that local time is still wrong

The display time seems to be an hour out pretty consistently - is this an aretefact of summer time ending?

The information panel has the correct update time 1 hour on (GMT)
