Hi!

Just received a Davis 6313 and trying t get it to with Weewx and OTA capture with and SDR dongle....

I thinks that I'm pretty far advance in my process, got weewx working, got the SDR working, but I'm not sure what I'm capturing. Here is an extract of the command that I'm running and the output....

Is this good data? Weewx doesn't do anything with that input, can anyone point me what is wrong?

This isn't really a Davis issue - the 6313 console is irrelevant because the SDR will be receiving direct from the sensor transmitter. Suggest you might have more luck asking on the weewx forum or, if available, any support from the SDR software you're using.

Just to add to that initial comment: I don't know too much about SDR software, but it looks like some generic software is running (on a pi?) and is picking up the signal from the sensor transmitter. But then you need some Davis-specific software to listen to the radio packets and transform the data into a format that weewx can understand. Maybe something like Weatherlink LOOP format. But I'm not aware of what that software might be - don't recall anything suitable, commercial or freeware, but there might be something out there. Well you're just running rtldavis and nothing remotely weewx related if that's all you're doing.  You need to set up weewx to 'use' the rtl-sdr stuff and then I'd suggest you run 'weewxd' in a console window with debug=1 in weewx.conf - you should see it capturing data and it'll look like weather data if you're patient enough.  It might take up to a minute for it to hear the ISS transmissions then it seems to work right away for me on a pi4.

I know, but was wondering why I wasn't getting any data, turns out that I needed to wait quite some time before the data started to show up!

Now I have to figure why I'm not getting the barometric pressure data from the SDR....

So here is some capture data by the SDR. I'm not getting any barometric readings.

Perhaps because the ISS has no pressure sensor.  That comes from the console inside which doesn't emit RF to listen to.
