wmr500 a good deal?

I am seeing listings for the wmr500 for ~$100.  That seems like too good of a deal.  I assume that they are clearing out old stock.  I am not looking for all the web support stuff.  Just a basic console and rain measurement the most important thing.  I have some experience with the old wmr100 but I am unable to keep insects from messing up the rain sensor so I thought I'd start over.  Other option would be just buy a new rain sensor and be more proactive cleaning it to stop the problems.
