Title: Erroneous Rain Total In Wunderground
Post by: killwilly on January 16, 2009, 07:50:05 AM
Hello folks it's me again with a second question.

I noticed today on my monthly records to date in Wunderground that I have a false reading of 21.49cm of rain for January 1st. I think this figure has been carried over from last year, my fault entirely for not properly clearing last year totals, I wont make that mistake again.  #-o

Is there anyway I can correct this by getting my daily rain back to zero for January 1st? I did correct the figure in VWS, but don't know how to do the same in Wunderground.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

After reading your post, something just occured to me   #-o

Ihave seen other people run into the same issue w/ WU and their erroneous rainfall data. Initially people say you can't correct it, BUT VWS has a check box to allow you to upload archived data to WU. Now with that said, is it possible to correct the databases and then upload the archive data to correct WU? I have not tried this but would be interested to see if this would work....

I tried uploading the archived data yesterday (18,000 records).  It didn't make any difference!
