WD and wifilogger2
« on: November 28, 2024, 11:04:17 AM »
I'm looking to get WD and wifilogger2 to work with each other.
Totally lost, I would imagine in the logger I would have to set up a custom site??? and what in that list would I have to fill out, all? What would be the remote files and other stuff???

Thanks for any help!!!!!!!

Hi,
Sorry I can't help on WD as i use Cumulus, but I think somewhat similar.  For running WiFiLogger and its uploads to say WL.com as well as Cumulus access to logger, in WiFiLogger > Setup > System > TCP Port I select Pause with Discon, and in Cumulus I have Disconnect period 10, and this 10 seconds disconnect period once a minute allows the WiFiLogger to do its uploads, and then Cumulus has access again.  Only other setting in Cumulus is the communication/connection as TCP/IP and the WiFiLogger IP address.

Enjoy,
Paul

You say you want to set up the WiFiLogger 2 with WD...do you mean Weather Display software on local computer? If so it is easy. So what WD are you referring to  ?

Yes Weather Display software (latest version) and a wifidatalogger2. I believe I have to do a custom set up but one thing I am not sure of is the path to get the data from the logger to the Weather display on my local computer then uploaded to the server,  and how much of the info is really needed to be filled out in the custom display settings?

Thaks for any help!

First, you will need to setup your data logger with a static IP so that the IP doesn't change.  That way WD can always find it on your network.

Under Control Panel, Comm Port Setup.  Data via TCP tab.  Enter in IP of data logger.  I think the port is 22222, I'm not positive on that one.

But that should be it.
