Our host's technology teams have identified a critical issue that requires immediate attention.
Emergency maintenance on main server(s) for NOAAweatherradio.org is scheduled to take place on November 26th between 4:00 AM and 11:59 PM PST.
This maintenance spans a 20-hour window, and services are expected to be down for up to 8 hours, followed by potential short term service degradation as the upgrade settles across cyberspace.
What to Expect: The maintenance window spans 20 hours, but expect up to 8 hours of issues at some point during this period. Following the downtime, there may be temporary service degradation as the upgrade completes.
This DOES NOT AFFECT your stream encoder's connection to the wxradio.org Icecast server which is hosted elsewhere.
No need for action. Suggest you maintain your stream for the duration, databases et.al. will recover and resume after completion.
Services affected:
The Main website: noaaweatherradio.org including contact forms and other incidentals.
Ken's Saratoga Scripts NOAA weather radio personal website add-in. MOST Streams should remain active, some will not. Otherwise, this should only affect the automatic sync of status and station list updates between your script and the main server. Expect it will generally perform nominally, and to recover quickly. BUT remember Murphy's Law.
(QRA suite) Data and communications to and from Doug's Quality and Reliability scripts. Unclear at the moment how it will affect the QRA suite recovery of stream status, so expect some discrepancies and bad data there until the data bases correct after the outage.
Apologies in advance. This one is a bit more involved, but previous maintenance scenarios from this host have been mostly unremarkable, and we expect this will mostly pass un-noticed except main site down awhile, with possibly some irritating QRA database issues.
