Topic: GW1000 Sudden Radio Strength Issues With WS90

Has anyone here ever experienced sudden radio strength issues from WS90? I have had zero issues with this over the last year. GW2000 is having no issues connected to the same station. I did a factory reset and radio reception strength was good for a few minutes then signal strength went done slowly and in the same boat now with it not connecting to the station. Time to get another GW1000?

The gw1000 antenna orientation is also important ( especially if there is quite some distance/walls/obstacles between gateway and sensors ).
As a rule of thumb keep the antenna vertical.
My gw1000 has a "spring antenna" like this ( the arrow shows the up direction ):

Other gw1000 revisions have a wire antenna, in this case unfold and straighten the antenna out of the gw1000 box

Then sadly, there is more than likely an issue with the unit.
I have had many issues with the WS90 , yours is not one one of them.

Doesn't make it less important, just that I haven't experienced it.

I know, I haven't helped , contact Ecowitt, these have not been around that long, and maybe , they will provide you support on the unit or a replacement.
