Topic: new firmware version for GW2000: V2.2.2

Hi!

There's a new firmware version V2.2.2 available for the GW2000.
Use the current WSView Plus app or the web interface of the GW2000 ("Device Setting") to update.

Changelog for V2.2.2:
Fixed a bug that parameter storage is not timely.

BTW:
I was not aware of this bug. Anyone?

This is the first time that a firmware is not released at the same time for GW2000 and GW1100. I had assumed that this version would also be available for the GW1100 in the short term. But it probably won't.
Therefore, I have subsequently removed the reference to the GW1100 - this firmware is currently only available for the GW2000.

I'm unsure if my experience is related to previous firmware 2.2.1.
Normally my GW2000 runs without any issues. I upgraded to 2.2.1 a few days ago.
Just yesterday it started misbehaving, being inaccessible, and not uploading to the Ecowitt service. Any queries to the device from other software such as FOSHKplugin and WeeWX were also broken.

I'm not aware of this bug.

One thing I do got confirmed is that there should become an option to calibrate the WN35 "Leaf wetness sensor" in de next firmware version. I was hoping that this was added in this firmware, but not (yet)

Hi!

How do you try to update the firmware? Via the WebUI or WSView Plus? The old WSView should no longer be used for the update.

did you do a factory reset ?
i.e. press and hold the central round "button" for more than 10 seconds ?
try to connect the GW2000 via its LAN interface only (for the reset and hopefully then working firmware update)
note down before all your calibration data, rain totals and sensorIDs so you can re-establish the configuration after the factory reset.
Make sure not to use a VPN connection during the firmware update

I noticed (by accident) that there is a new key available in the custom upload fields:

'interval' => '299'
This is the interval that the device is uploading to the custom server.

(maybe this was already available in earlier versions, but noticed it in v2.2.2 now)

I updated from 2.2.0 to 2.2.2.. So therefore didn't see it earlier

Where will the mistrake be, GW2000 V2.2.2 doesn´t send the  data to www.wunderground.com?
The customized IP server does not send data, too.
GW 2000 is connected to the network via LAN (WIFI is not in his range)
A computer with the CUMULUS MX programme is connected to the same switch, that the data are sent to the wunderground from.

Hi Radek,

here, sending via custom server in Ecowitt format as well as in WU format is possible without any problems.
Experience shows that these problems are due to incorrect settings. So please show a screenshot of the settings.
