Solar radiation measurement affected by temperature?
« on: February 22, 2015, 10:49:30 PM »
Today my solar radiation maxed out at over 900 w/m2. There were a lot of clouds but some sunny periods and the temperature hit 77. Three days ago the temperature maxed at 46 but there was bright sun all day and the solar maxed around 630. Unless I'm badly misinformed, it seems the amount of solar radiation should not be affected by the temperature.

Is this caused by a problem in the way temperature affects the WS-1001 measurement of solar radiation?

I do not think it is the temperature that influence.
I have solar panels on the roof, and I can compare their current production with the solar radiation on my WS-1001, the two follow each other closely.
The highest instantaneous performance is never on a day of blue skies.
The highest performance is on a day where the sun shines between white cumulus clouds.
I think the reflections from the clouds merged with the direct solar radiation provides a high profit.
WS-2902 clone.
