Almost done!
« on: October 15, 2009, 07:35:13 AM »
I'm about 85-90% done with my updated site at http://www.daculaweather.com/ I'm in the process of cleaning up the code in the background (shouldn't make it look much different though). I have to say thanks to Ken for all of his help when I ran into an AJAX problem. Without Ken, none of this works.

I've used:
Google Chrome v3.0.195.27
Firefox v3.5.30729
IE 8 v8.0.6001 (both compatibility and regular mode)
IE 7 (it's at work, don't know the version right now)

to do my testing. All appears pretty good right now and I haven't tried IE 6. Not going backwards.

And to top it off, got my new Davis Vantage Vue working two days ago so all is well!

Can't just be me that is curios on the new station from Davis  ;)

BTW your site looks just fine in Opera too

Thanks!

I just discovered a problem in IE 7 that I didn't see until I got to work. Had to come home to fix it!! The site also has a theme to it based on the seasons. Nothing really changes except the banner images but it at least makes for a little variety.

I'll let you know how the Vue works, so far it's only been two full days (if you count today) but so far so good!

Well, couldn't see if I fixed the problem until I got back to work... and I didn't!

A padding problem on the right hand side of some of the pages forced everything down, and of course, only on IE 7.
I'll get the new files uploaded when I get back home this afternoon.

Did I say I hate IE anything????

I just checked your site on my Macintosh (iMAC 24" Intel Core 2 Duo) and Safari 4.0.3

The data text is VERY small on my screen and a little fuzzy.

Here is a screenshot:
