(West) Kissimmee Weather is up
« on: September 08, 2009, 03:09:30 AM »
Finally, and thanks to folks who write and share their scripts so many of us who otherwise couldn't have a site, do.

http://kissweather.net

Most of the functionality is there now, but there is more to add by way of tools I use -- the original purpose of the site.

Hah!  I may even get to enjoy it after a bit!

Good lookin' site you have, Bob.

My parents live near there (Kissimmee Park Road across from Wal-Mart) and I'll notify them of your site. I'm sure they will find it useful.

Bob,

Site looks awesome! I'm so wanting to run WD and those scripts.......Just afraid of the work involved.

Nicely Done!

Not that much work Bobby. It's really pretty easy and a lot of fun once you
get going, plus there are umpteen number of people willing to help out with questions.

Thanks, folks.  Appreciate the thoughts.

Dan, they, and you, then know how to pronounce Kissimmee.  :-)  WE know how to idenify tourists here!

Ny Wx, go for it.  I'm a ways away yet from a listing here, for sure.

Chris, yes, and thank you.  I've got 2 links on now and hope to get MesoMapping going in the next week or so.  Got a family medical situation in New Orleans that may call me away shortly, however.  And that is one very sharp map; I like it a lot.

Bobby, if you want to, you probably can.  I humbly, and I mean that, suggest you read the page on my site at the "Site Saga" tab.  "History" just didn't seem to fit what I wanted to say there.  It's been up a whole hour or so now.  :-)  I agree with Strgazr27, though the really fun part I think is ahead of me just a little!

Got to go study now -- nuke stress test in the morning.  No, not a facility, it's the kind where I glow on a treadmill.  Repeat performance number I-don't-know-how-many-now.  My cardio drives a Lexus.

heh heh, yes, know what you mean about hearing people pronounce Kissimmee. I think it is a lot easier than some of the lake names around there like Tohope, uh, Tohopek, uh, darn you know #-o, the lake just east of you.

Bob,

I LOVED reading your "Saga" and found it to exactly what I needed to push me over the edge. Well written and funny at times.

THANKS!

Bobby,
I wont talk you out of making the leap to WD (those that have are happy, but both also continue to run VWS at least for now...)... but keep in mind most of Ken's scripts works on any site (i run a ton of them), and he has said publicly he will be VWS'ing his WD templates this year...
