new device firmware version for HP25xxC: V2.0.5

Hi!

There's a new device firmware version V2.0.5 available for the HP25xxC (so HP2551C & HP2560C).

Changelog HP2550&HP2560 Firmware V2.0.5_ 2025-06-17
  • Added support for VPD display, SD recording, and uploading
  • SD card storage now includes timestamp bytes to record UTC time
  • Fixed some known issues
To install this update, use the usual device firmware update procedure:
  • download the firmware update zip file
  • unzip the file
  • copy user.bin file to SD card (SDHC, max 32GB)
  • Insert in console to start upgrade
These files are also available on Ecowitts HP2550C product page.

HP25x0 consoles with the new WiFi modem (WiFi firmware EasyWeatherPro) can also install the upgrade from within the console:
