WS90 firmware upgrade 1.5.6 available

Hi to all, new to the forum but have been lurking for some weeks. Just to advise this update has been available for a few days. They didn't update the release notes until yesterday:

WS90 Firmware V1.5.6 Upgrade 2025-6-3
1. Optimize rainfall measurement to prevent the occurrence of some incorrect rainfall.

FYI - this update seems to have fixed my issue where the rain reading would continue tick upwards by 0.1mm after rain had stopped. I would have to manually amend the data on the console to remove the errant input. Not happening after this update but time will tell.

My GW3000 was also updated from 1.0.8.1 to 1.0.9 automatically.
"Automatically upgrade firmware" setting was off.

my suspicion is that it has to do with the unusual version number - checking this with Ecowitt
