« on: February 06, 2023, 03:15:41 AM »
I was cleaning out the rain catcher and it detected rain is there anyway to remove it or edit it to 0 for the day?

Hi!

This should be no problem.
You can change this directly on the console:

Gear wheel (rightmost button)
Gear wheel (penultimate key)
Gear wheel (penultimate key)

Then with the cursor key 4 times up and with the magnifying glass- modify the point Daily Rain.

As a picture story:

It is conceivable that your menu navigation does not correspond to the one shown here. In this case, you should consider a firmware update.
Good luck!

You can edit the totals as reported on the HP2550 display.
This will not change data that was sent to a weather service.

Does anyone know how this will be reflected in the the data that is logged to an SD card?

you can check this yourself, can't you ? - change one value and look it up after 5 minutes ...
(have to take out the SD card for this of course to read the data written 8-) )
You can change it back in both console and SD card (CSV file)

I have never tried this, but I would firmly assume that all current values at the time are also written to the CSV. So record by record.
That means:
If you have a daily value for rain of 12.3 at 18:30 and set it to 0 at 18:31, the CSV should show 12.3 at 18:30 and 0 at 18:31. At least if the storage interval is 1 minute. Otherwise, the update in the CSV only takes place at the respective interval. With the next record.
Values that have already been written are of course no longer adjusted.

Yes.. yes I could.  But before I go doing that .. I wondered if anyone already KNEW what would happen.  I'm not trying to get out of work, just trying to avoid duplicate work.   [tup]

the data saved into the basic sensor csv file is:
Time,Indoor Temperature(℃),Indoor Humidity(%),Outdoor Temperature(℃),Outdoor Humidity(%),Dew Point(℃),
Feels Like (℃),Wind(km/h),Gust(km/h),Wind Direction(°),ABS Pressure(hpa),REL Pressure(hpa),Solar Rad.(w/m2),UVI,
Hourly Rain(mm),Event Rain(mm),Daily Rain(mm),Weekly Rain(mm),Monthly Rain(mm),Yearly Rain(mm)
(possibly with different units depending on your console settings)
=> the next record written after a change of the rain values will contain the new changed values
