WS80 firmware version

Existing WS80 from Pantech . How do i know what existing firmware is in the weather station ?

1. I guess you don't mean the station (= console + sensors), but most likely the 6-in-1 outdoor sensor array (WS80) - always good to be clear in terminology  8-)
2. you don't
unfortunately the WS80 doesn't report its firmware edition.
Even with the firmware update/upgrade software it is not retrievable;
very different from the WS90. Ecowitt learnt from their WS80 experiences.
Not sure if the WS80 firmware itself is able to retrieve its version number - and if it can transmit it to the console (which again would need to be able to read and process this information).

Yes , WS80 outdoor 6-1 unit .
Would be nice to know the existing firmware before I upgrade etc...

you will know that you will be on version 1.2.4 once you made the update  8-)
(and note it down somewhere in order not to forget ;))

I find myself checking the "download" folder on my PC to see what the last version I downloaded was.
